Today felt like Thanksgiving, but in Spring. I cooked lemon pasta, my friend made an amazing salad from her vegetable garden and her parents made a spinach calzone pie (this shot is of the dough being rolled for the calzone). My Mom and my other great friend joined in the fun. All of this accompanied by sparkling wine and a brilliant sauv blanc. Dessert (after a nice walk) was a little cup of tart lemon and sweet strawberry sorbet topped with fresh boysenberries and an almond cookie.
Great friends and family celebrated over a homemade meal can not be underestimated! Don't wait until November. Cheers to ya'll.
