On Sept 12, I went to the East End of London, an area shaped by generations of immigrants. A few areas that I especially love are Spitalfields (London's oldest market, full of stalls selling vintage fashion, music, jewellery, etc) and Brick Lane (the heart of the city's Bangladeshi community). This area is full of independent shops, cafes, bars and great restaurants. You'll see street art, hear random musical performances, smell delicious food and watch people sell and barter their wares right on the street. In a nut shell, the world is happening here and it feels funky, artsy and vibrant. More, please!
