360/365 - The Gift
A gift or a present is the transfer of something without the expectation of receiving something in return. Although gift-giving might involve an expectation of reciprocity, a gift is meant to be free. In many human societies, the act of mutually exchanging money, goods, etc. may contribute to social cohesion. Economists have elaborated the economics of gift-giving into the notion of a gift economy. By extension the term gift can refer to anything that makes the other happier or less sad, especially as a favor, including forgiveness and kindness.

358/365 - Kobe the Pushover
This is Kobe, formerly known as Carl. My parents rescued him from the Lange Foundation in Los Angeles years ago. Being Lakers fans, Carl became Kobe and the rest is history. He is sweet as pie with humans. He's not nice to other dogs, except for one - my rescue dog, Libby. In fact, I think he's in love with her. It's really cute to see how much of a pushover he is. Libby steals his bones, his bed, his dinner, anything he's got, she'll take it and he does nothing but sigh, and lay down. I must say, it is really funny to watch.

357/365 - Apple Pan
My Mom and I had lunch at The Apple Pan. It's been around since 1947 and is famous for its hamburgers and apple pie. We sat at the counter, ordered our burgers and fries and enjoyed every morsel. Next, we ordered dessert, apple pie a la mode with coffee. While we were there, we had a celebrity sighting, comedian, Jon Lovitz. He must know what I know. Apple Pan is "old school" deliciousness.
