260/365 - Baker Street

260/365 - Baker Street, originally uploaded by LCSTRAVELBUGGIN.

On Sep 15, I flew back from London to Los Angeles. Before doing so, I quickly ran some errands via the London Underground. One of my stops was Baker Street. It is one of the original stations on the world's first underground railway called the Metropolitan Railway (opened in 1863).

Nearby, you can step back in time and visit the home of Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson. They lived at 221b Baker Street between 1881-1904, according to the stories written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The famous 1st floor study overlooking Baker Street is still faithfully maintained as it was kept in Victorian Times. In London, there's so much history around every corner (or every underground station, for that matter), it's just never-ending.
