We celebrated my Mom's 75th birthday on November 27. My Mom brought out this little identification necklace and explained that the hospital placed it on her the day she was born. Apparently, the cost of my Mom's birth was only $200.00 (my Grandma actually kept the receipt!). Can you believe? Today, the average cost of childbirth is at least $7,000.
By the way, my Mom is awesome.
